Easily Find the Hottest Games on Your Sprint Device
By Amy Johnsonbaugh
I grew up playing Tetris and Super Mario Brothers on the Nintendo game console. There weren’t nearly as many gaming options as kids (and adults) have today, including those available on their smartphone and tablet. You can now play games during road trips, while waiting for a flight, at the doctor’s office, you name it.
In fact, playing games on mobile devices has eclipsed all other platforms in the U.S. this year, attracting nearly 126 million players, according to eMarketer. Though the groups overlap, that number tops online casual gamers (about 97 million), social gamers (80 million) and console gamers (43 million). The growth rate of mobile gaming is projected to be higher, too, with more than 191 million gamers expected by 2017 as the smartphone eclipses the feature phone among users.1
With seemingly endless gaming options available in the app stores, how do you find the best ones?
The Games section within the Sprint Zone Application:
Using the Sprint Zone application, you can easily find great games. Sprint
Zone allows you to manage your account, troubleshoot your device, read the latest Sprint news, access exclusive content and more.
Simply click on the Games icon (located next to Apps) and you’ll see five sections: Sprint Recommends, Gameloft, Free Games, Featured and PlayPhone.
PlayPhone is the newest addition. This game store provides you with a single destination to discover and play the latest free and premium games with your friends. The platform is designed to offer a personalized gaming experience centered on the player, their favorite games and what’s trending within their social circle.
Gameloft offers popular titles like Despicable Me’s Minnion Rush, Monsters University and Asphalt 8 Airborne HD. Clicking on the Gameloft icon within
Sprint Zone Games takes you to their entire catalog.
While some games are free, it is convenient to purchase games by adding the fee right to your Sprint bill.
