How do you pick the right phone for you?

I get asked pretty regularly, what’s the best phone available today?

Bigger the better; right? Sometimes we get hung up on more GHz, MHz and megapixels and overlook what’s really important in buying a phone.

The question you should ask is: What are the two or three things you’ll do most with your phone?

If you’re an audiophile, HTC One® might be a better fit than some of our other smartphones.

If you’re someone who just makes phone calls, Kyocera Kona might be a good fit.

Maybe you want to be able to take notes or sketch on your phone, then maybe
Samsung Galaxy® Note 3 is for you.

Physical keyboards aren’t as prevalent as they used to be, but some people prefer typing on one instead of using a virtual keyboard. Maybe you want BlackBerry® Q10 or Motorola Admiral™.

If you’re like me and always worried about damaging your phone, Kyocera Torque might fit the bill.

There isn’t a one size fits all device out there, so before you start shopping, I’d spend a few minutes thinking about the answers to a few questions:
  1. What are the two or three things you’ll do most with your phone? Music, Pictures, Web Surfing, Email, Text Messaging?
  2. Do I want a smartphone or something more basic?
  3. What size device do I want?
  4. Touchscreen or not?
  5. What operating system appeals to me?
When you visit a store, be sure to spend a few minutes with a sales rep. They can tell you about the top features of each of the phones we offer.

Spend a few minutes holding some different models. Some people absolutely love a smartphone with a 5.5-inch touchscreen display. For others, that’s just too much to fit in the palm of their hand.
