Sprint Waives Fees for International Calls and Texts to and from Japan

In the wake of the devastating earthquake in the Kumamoto region of Japan, Sprint is waiving fees for international calls and text usage to Japan from the U.S., and voice and SMS while internationally roaming in Japan for all Sprint, Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile USA, and Sprint Prepaid customers1 - effective April 15, 2016 through April 22, 2016.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the residents in the affected areas of Japan and for our customers who are trying to get in touch with loved ones and friends in Japan,” said Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure. “We will do everything we can to help those impacted by this disaster connect and stay in touch.”

Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile USA and Sprint Prepaid customers are excluded from providing calls/texts from Japan to the U.S
