Staying Fit with a Smartphone Part 2

A few weeks ago I reviewed Jawbone UP, so I thought it would only be fair to review our latest fitness accessory, Fitbit Flex.
Flex is a fitness wristband that tracks your sleep patterns, steps, distance and calories burned throughout the day. You can also input your food and water intake and it will track the calories you consume.
Flex also allows you to set a goal and uses LED lights to show how you're stacking up. Each light represents 20 percent of your goal. You choose which one — steps, calories or distance. It lights up like a scoreboard, challenging you to be more active day after day.
I like that the Flex data syncs automatically when you open the app on my
smartphone versus having to plug-in. May sound tedious, but it’s one less step you have to take… no pun intended.
Flex is comfortable to wear. It is not as rigid as some other devices. I prefer some of the apps for other fitness accessories a little better than Flex. I thought they were easier to navigate and really liked some of their features, including the ability to scan your meal barcodes. I have yet to find a way to do that with my Flex.
Bottom line – I really like Fitbit Flex, because it is comfortable to wear and I hardly notice it’s there.
Fitness accessories are a great companion for Sprint’s smartphones and Unlimited data plans. I love not having to worry about going over my monthly data usage to track my progress on-the-go!
