Lineup and Ticket Information Coming Soon

WARREN, N.J., May 25, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) --Virgin Mobile USA announced today the date and location of its 2010 festival. The Virgin Mobile FreeFest presented by Kyocera, will be held Saturday, Sept. 25 at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Md. "Last year’s FreeFest was such a huge success. The bands loved it, the fans loved it, and it got great reviews," said Ron Faris, director of brand experiences for Virgin Mobile USA. "It’s a wonderful feeling to once again bring some of the best bands in the world to perform and give away tickets for free."

The line up of the 2010 Virgin Mobile FreeFest will be announced soon. "At this point, we’re just narrowing it down to finalists we consider to be the most relevant acts out there," said chairman of I.M.P. and concert producer Seth Hurwitz. "This is not your typical format, with a big headliner closing after smaller acts leading up. It will be A-List from opening to closing. It has to be that good. The culture of the Virgin brand expects nothing less."

Last year’s Virgin Mobile FreeFest lineup included Weezer, Blink-182, Franz Ferdinand, Public Enemy, GirlTalk, The National and a dozen more. All 35,000 tickets were scooped up in just 20 minutes. Fans can sign up for the news alerts announcing the 2010 band lineup and ticket information on
