Together with SoftBank Robotics America we recently announced a strategic relationship that will bring Pepper the humanoid robot to Sprint Business clients nationwide. In addition to our announcement, Pepper was front and center at the Sprint and SoftBank booth at Mobile World Congress Americas in San Francisco earlier this month.
Pepper is so exciting because it is a great example of how Sprint is bringing IoT and artificial intelligence to life. To fully understand Pepper’s capabilities and charm, one really needs to meet Pepper in person. More than a 1,000 conference attendees walked through our booth and had the opportunity to interact with Pepper.
Some might think the robot is merely digital signage in a cute package but it’s so much more. Pepper is an intelligent, multidimensional marketing tool that uses sensors, cameras, voice recognition and human-like gestures to engage customers and collect vital data, including gender, age and mood, to bring a third dimension to marketing insights.
