Consumers now have more choice in color mobile phones, as Sprint (NYSE: S) and SANYO (NASDAQ: SANYY) announce today the introduction of the Sprint PCS Vision® Phone SCP-3100 by SANYO. Available in four trendy colors, Pure Silver, Blue Energy, Always Pink, and the hottest color to go mobile, Espresso, the SCP-3100 by SANYO offers style and convenience. The phone is Sprint PCS Vision- and Ready Link-capable and features a high-quality speakerphone, SMS Text Messaging and a large external LCD.

"The SCP-3100 by SANYO allows for personalization and is a great phone for families," said Danny Bowman, vice president of product marketing for Sprint. "Each family member can own the phone in a different color, making it easy to tell a child's phone from a parent's as you're rushing out the door in the morning. SANYO is the first in the U.S. to introduce the color Espresso in a handset."

"With the launch of the SCP-3100 by SANYO in four trendy colors, Sprint and SANYO are appealing to consumers who like to make a statement by the accessories they carry," said Leatrice Eiseman, color specialist and author of six books on color, including the "Color Answer Book" and "More Alive with Color." "Espresso is 'in style' and is a color that's being made popular by consumers' love for coffee." Eiseman goes on to state that "up to sixty percent of the reason we buy a product is based on color."
