Sprint Launches Neurodiversity ID Pack, Offers Mobile Solutions for Customers with Neurodevelopmental Disabilities
First-of-its-kind ID pack includes top-rated applications to improve learning abilities and communication skills
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (BUSINESS WIRE), June 18, 2014 - Today Sprint (NYSE: S) launched the Neurodiversity ID pack, a unique bundle of best-in-class mobile applications targeted at helping individuals with cognitive and neurodevelopmental disabilities, such as autism, dyslexia and dyspraxia.
The ID pack is a collection of apps that can be downloaded with a single click that aims to help improve math and reading skills, provides educational tools, and offers developmental games for children in kindergarten through 12th grade, in addition to providing support apps for parents.
Sprint CEO Dan Hesse announced the new ID pack yesterday at the annual Quality Services for the Autism Community (QSAC) gala, where he also accepted the 2014 Change Maker Award on behalf of Sprint. The ID pack is currently available for select Android smartphones from Sprint and Boost Mobile.

Sprint ID packs are bundles of applications and weblinks that allow users to easily and quickly customize their Android devices based on specific needs and interests. The Neurodiversity ID pack’s 25 unique applications and weblinks were chosen with the help of several organizations focused on disabilities that impact learning, attention and behavior, including the National Center for Learning Disabilities, Dyspraxia Foundation USA and QSAC. The ID pack also provides an improved user experience for integrating into a device’s existing settings.
One in 68 U.S. children has autism (CDC), one in 10 U.S. children has dyspraxia (source: Dyspraxia Foundation USA), and, according to the National Institute of Child and Human Development, as many as 15 percent of Americans have major troubles with reading and approximately 40 million Americans have dyslexia. This ID pack is a way to help those individuals use their mobile devices and to more easily find helpful applications without searching more than 1 million apps in Google Play, which can be quite daunting.
The Neurodiversity ID pack’s applications help to meet the needs of several customer groups affected by neurodevelopmental disabilities. For early learning and play, the ID pack includes the Make Sentences app, the Play and Learn Languages app, and the ACC Autism myVoiceCommunicator app. For older children, the ID pack includes a two-part Middle School Confidential series app and the Audible for Android app. Additionally, parents can use the My Autism Help app to connect with other special-needs parents and the First-Then Visual Schedule app to create customized schedules to assist children in keeping track of everyday tasks.
