Sprint Offers Money to Local Leader with the Fastest Fingers

Participants Compete in Sending the Most Text Messages During Sprint's Big Texter Challenge for Charity

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 12, 2007--Ladies and Gentlemen, Start Your Fingers!

Sprint (NYSE:S) is offering South Florida's media and community leaders a chance to show their SprintSpeed(TM) and text their way to victory during the first-ever Big Texter competition. Participants will be challenged to send as many text messages as possible for business or personal use during the week of October 15 to 22 on a provided MUZIQ by LG, and whoever racks up the most text messages wins. The prize - bragging rights and Sprint will donate $5,000 to the winner's designated charity.

Nine participants will receive one of the newest Sprint wireless phones, MUZIQ by LG, an innovative phone with messaging, multi-media and location-based service capabilities. Sprint's Big Texter promotion also enables participants to send text messages as fast as the speed of light on the fastest and largest national mobile broadband network.*

The Big Texter competition begins at 8 a.m. EDT on October 15 and ends at 8 a.m. EDT on October 22.

8. Lee Schrager, founder and director, Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival & director of special events and media relations, Southern Wine and Spirits
9. Daniel Vasquez, consumer columnist, South Florida Sun-Sentinel
