Sprint Wireless Customers Enjoy Exciting Super Bowl XL Content
Numerous Mobile Exclusives Enhance Fan Experiences
Reston, Va. — 01/30/2006
With less than one week until Super Bowl XL, fans' excitement and anticipation is reaching a fever pitch. As a result of Sprint's (NYSE: S) sponsorship of the Super Bowl XL Halftime Show – and as the official wireless telecommunications service provider to the NFL – its customers will enjoy access to a wide variety of exciting, mobile exclusive content that reaches far beyond Detroit's Ford Field.
Live, 'front-row seats' to Super Bowl XL press conferences
All press conferences during Super Bowl week will air live on NFL Network. Throughout the week, customers who subscribe to Sprint's exclusive NFL Mobile service or to Sprint TV Live (Channel 9 in Sprint TV) will be able to see them all on NFL Network. For example, the Sprint Super Bowl XL Halftime Show with The Rolling Stones press conference will certainly attract attention, while press conferences featuring head coaches and players from the AFC and NFC should pique the interest of avid football fans. So whether an NFL Mobile subscriber is on the morning train into the city or just finishing up lunch with friends, the NFL Network is just a few clicks away on a Sprint wireless handset.
"7 Days of Stones" from Music Choice
As the featured performer of the Sprint Super Bowl XL Halftime Show, The Rolling Stones command one of the world's largest stages. To mark the occasion, a variety of free and premium content from Music Choice will highlight The Rolling Stones. Available only via Sprint TV on Channel 33, "7 Days of Stones" features daily interviews, music videos and other clips for a limited time. Free previews are posted each day, with expanded content reserved only for Sprint's Music Choice subscribers. Through Feb. 5, daily content will be archived and available for repeat viewing.
Exclusive Sprint Music StoreSM for instant "Satisfaction"
Since October 2005, Sprint wireless customers have been able to browse, preview, download, play and manage high-quality digital music directly from their Sprint Power VisionSM phones - without wires. Hundreds of songs from The Rolling Stones, ranging from classic cuts to more recent releases from "A Bigger Bang," the latest album from The Rolling Stones, are among the 300,000 high-quality digital music tracks available in the Sprint Music StoreSM – many of which are mobile exclusives. For $2.50 per track, customers receive two copies of purchased music – one formatted for their Sprint mobile devices and one for a PC using Windows Media Player.
Expressing loyalty and individuality
Sprint satisfies die-hard fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Seattle Seahawks and The Rolling Stones with an impressive variety of personalization content. For example, more than two dozen Music Tone ringers from The Rolling Stones can entertain customers each time their phones ring; Pittsburgh Steelers and Seattle Seahawks team logos – and some marquee players from those teams such as Seattle running back Shaun Alexander, the league MVP, or Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger – can adorn the main displays of their phones, too.
Revolutionizing the way NFL fans get their information, Sprint's NFL Mobile provides a first-of-its-kind package of programming designed specifically for wireless services. The package includes: exclusive live access to the NFL Network's broadcasts; exclusive video- and audio-on-demand highlights from NFL Films; exclusive highlights of every Super Bowl played from NFL Films; and up-to-the-minute scores, player stats and injury reports for the Super Bowl.
