PITT OHIO EXPRESS, honored by the Gartner Group for IT innovation, renews Sprint contract for Dedicated IP, MPLS and Managed Services

OVERLAND PARK, Kan.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jul. 13, 2009-- Sprint (NYSE:S) announced today that PITT OHIO EXPRESS has renewed its agreement for Sprint to provide wireline services to PITT OHIO, which is known across the LTL (less-than-truckload) industry for its innovative business practices.

The two-year, $600,000 agreement includes Dedicated IP, MPLS and Managed Services. Through a previous agreement, PITT OHIO EXPRESS also relies on Sprint for push-to-talk service, using 1,500 Nextel Direct Connect® handsets to manage its drivers and fleet.

PITT OHIO EXPRESS was honored in 2009 by the Gartner Group with the Midsize Enterprise Summit Vision Award. This is the second time PITT OHIO has received an award from the Gartner Group and the first time in this category, which recognizes the Innovative Use of Networking, Voice and Data Communications.
