This press kit offers a customizable contract for parents and kids as well as videos and press releases for other resources such as Sprint Family Locator, Sprint Drive First and Sprint Mobile Controls.

Sprint offers parents a wide variety of mobile phones and apps and services to help make their busy lives a little easier. In this press kit you’ll find a parent-child mobile phone contract, press releases, videos and images for applications and mobile devices.
If you’re worried that your child isn’t going to fully grasp the responsibilities that come with owning their first mobile phone, establishing some ground rules can be really helpful. To give you a little help, your friends at Sprint have put together a parent-child mobile phone “contract,” or agreement, that includes a list of rules you might want your child to follow, such as situations and times of the day when they shouldn’t use their phone, providing you, their parent, with their password, and more.
Sprint WeGo™ is a value-friendly mobile phone that allows parents to give their child the safety and communication tools they need when they are away from home, while also supplying the parental controls and tracking required to teach responsibility and age-appropriate mobile phone use. The device has one front button and two side volume keys that can be used for scrolling on the LCD screen. The portal, which is available online and via mobile applications, allows parents to locate their child’s device on a map, control device features such as contacts and set up notifications.

Sprint WeGo is available at Sprint stores and preferred dealers for existing customers who add a line to their account. Customers have the option of Sprint Easy Pay, which allows eligible customers to purchase the Sprint WeGo phone with $0 down and 24 monthly payments of $5. (Sales tax collected at time of purchase where applicable.) Sprint WeGo Service is $9.99 per month (excluding taxes and fees) and includes 1,000 minutes of talk and 1,000 text messages.

Sprint Drive First:
The Sprint Drive First application locks an Android-powered smartphone when the phone’s GPS detects motion above 10 miles per hour. Sprint Drive First can direct incoming calls to voice mail and silences distracting alerts. A customizable auto-response can be sent to all text messages, which are held until the driver comes to a stop.
Sprint Drive First is available on Sprint Android™-powered smartphones for free. You can download the app by visiting Google Play.

Sprint Mobile Controls allows parents to clearly understand their child’s talk, text and app use habits. They can lock their child’s phone on demand or schedule locks – during dinner, school or late at night – and browse their child’s contacts and apps downloaded to the phone.

Content Filtering: a useful tool for parents who want more control
Today 56% of kids age 8-12 have a cell phone1 and one in four American teenagers accesses the Internet primarily through mobile.2 So it’s no surprise parents express concern about the content their children may have access to on a mobile device.
Just as Sprint has been a strong parent partner by offering useful security and safety services, we also offer parents the tool to filter content for any phone on their account. Content Filtering helps parents set boundaries to help ensure kids are using devices in a way their parents deem appropriate whether they are at home, at school or on-the-go. Content Filtering is an opt-in service that allows customers the choice to block Web destinations pertaining to “Adult Content”, and “Malware”.
The service is free to Sprint customers and easy to set up on Sprint.com. After logging into your My Account page simply click on My Preferences, then limits and permissions and then click on content filter. Select the phone for which you want the filter to apply and click save.
