Offers 1GB data for $20 a month – 3 times the data offered by AT&T and double the data offered by Verizon
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (BUSINESS WIRE), October 22, 2014 - Sprint (NYSE: S) remains committed to providing the best value in wireless by giving customers the 1GB shared data allowance for $20 with the Sprint Family Share Pack. That’s double the data offered by Verizon and more than 3 times the data offered by AT&T at the same price point1.
“This entry-level sharable data allowance reinforces Sprint’s commitment to offering customers the best value in wireless,” said Marcelo Claure, Sprint CEO. “We’re offering customers a choice – whether they need a small amount of data or are a high-end data user.”
Sprint Family Share Pack – How it Works
Sprint is changing the wireless industry with this plan that provides consumers value and flexibility, plus unlimited talk and text.
Customers can build their own plan in three easy steps. First, choose the shared data allowance. For 1GB, it’s $20 per month for up to 10 lines. Second, add data access for phones with unlimited talk and text while on the Sprint Network. The data access charge for non-discounted phones is $25 per month per line for 1GB through 16GB. Third, add your tablet devices for $10 per month per line and mobile broadband devices for $20 per month per line. There is no early termination fee and no annual service contract with non-discounted phones.
In addition, when customers switch their number to Sprint, a family with up to 10 lines can get 20GB of shared data and unlimited talk and text for only $100 a month through 20152. For a family of four, that’s a savings of $60 per month versus AT&T’s and Verizon’s current pricing through 2015; double the data of AT&T and Verizon; and double the high-speed data of T-Mobile.
Best Value in Wireless – For Individuals and Families
Sprint is committed to offering U.S. consumers the best value in wireless and double the data on nationally available plans compared to AT&T and Verizon Wireless at the same or lower monthly price. With the Sprint Family Share Pack, Sprint offers double the sharable data for smartphones, basic phones, tablets and mobile broadband devices. Sprint also offers customers unlimited talk, text and data for $60 per month with the Sprint $60 Unlimited Plan – a $20 savings per month compared to T-Mobile’s $80 unlimited plan3.
