Sprint customers benefit from more than 470 cell sites added throughout the state providing seamless access to innovative wireless services

Dade City, Fla. - January 15, 2008 - Sprint (NYSE: S) customers in Dade City, Wesley Chapel, and Land O’Lakes can now enjoy the benefits of SprintSpeed™ from even more places. During 2007, Sprint added 470 new cells sites throughout Florida and 13 of those are in Pasco County.

Sprint customers can take advantage of the recent improvements in the following communities:

  • Two new sites in Wesley Chapel along SR 54 at Magnolia Road and also at Livingston Road
  • Land O’ Lakes at US 41 and Hobson Road
  • Dade City
  • New Port Richey
  • Holiday, in the area of US 19 and SR 54

Sprint offers customers the largest voice calling area, largest mobile broadband network and the world’s fastest and largest push-to-talk network, which means customers can share pictures and video, download full-length CD-quality songs, send emails with large attachments, or connect instantly with the touch of a button with Nextel Direct Connect.

“Whether it’s catching a conference call or just catching-up, customers can trust Sprint’s robust, ever-growing network coverage to help them keep in touch with family, friends and co-workers,” said Jaime Jones, area vice president for Florida.

Nationally during 2007, Sprint added more than 4,000 cell sites to the Nationwide Sprint Network and Nextel National Network. Both networks are currently performing at their best-ever levels, which means fewer blocked or dropped calls, translating to better connections for customers.
