New York City is known as “The City That Never Sleeps,” and Danielle Babbington and Michelle Mermelstein certainly didn’t rest either during their three-day media tour in the city.

Arriving July 12, the pair began a whirlwind trip by meeting with various journalists and outlets, culminating in the 2017 Holiday Gift Guide Media Event two days later at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square.

Although the holidays may seem far away, now is the time to meet with the editors curating their holiday gift guides. Meeting individually with media and at the Holiday Gift Guide Media Event provide the chance for Sprint to engage with top print, broadcast and online editors seeking new products, and Danielle and Michelle came prepared.

The team brought a variety of accessories and devices with them to showcase, and the LuMee light case was a clear favorite for Danielle. What’s the best way to show how well these cases work?

Cab selfies, of course!

The accessories were a huge hit. The team met Thursday with Brandi Broxson from Real Simple, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. “She loved the LuMee cases,” said Danielle. “And we had a nice discussion about the value Sprint’s Unlimited Freedom provides consumers and how Sprint has devices and plan options that fit everyone’s needs.”

Thursday also brought a trip to PC Mag, where Michelle joined lead mobile analyst Sascha Segan in a Facebook Live interview, discussing the BlackBerry KEYOne and other great phone deals. It was excellent timing, since the KEYOne launched Friday, the day of the Holiday Gift Guide Media Event.

Friday morning, Danielle and Michelle arrived at the Marriott Marquis and covered their booth with exclusive devices ready for demos. The BlackBerry KEYOne generated major excitement among the media present. The real booth sensation, however, was a preview of the Essential Phone. The iconic smartphone was a hit with national news media, tech media and lifestyle media. Time even posted an article based on their short time with the device in the booth.

It was a successful three-day adventure, and both found the best way to celebrate… with a trip to Shake Shack and a hot and fresh Krispy Kreme doughnut. It was National Donut Day, after all.
