Data access charge now only $15 per month per line
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (BUSINESS WIRE), November 11, 2014 - Just in time for the holidays and delivering on its commitment to offer U.S. consumers the best value in wireless, Sprint (NYSE: S) is reducing the data access charge on the $80 and $90 Sprint Family Share Pack Plans to $15 per month per line beginning Friday, Nov. 141. Sprint continues to offer customers the best value with more data at the same or lower price than AT&T and Verizon.
“Sprint stands by its commitment to offer customers the best value in wireless, providing more data for the same price or less than our competitors,” said Tom Roberts, senior vice president Marketing, Sprint. “We want customers to know that when they sign up for service at Sprint that they are getting the best value when compared to other national wireless carriers.”
Sprint Family Share Pack – How it Works
Sprint is changing the wireless industry with this plan that provides consumers value and flexibility, plus unlimited talk and text.
Customers can build their own plan in three easy steps
- First, choose the shared data allowance. For example, for 12GB, it’s $80 per month or 16GB for $90 per month for up to 10 lines.
- Second, add data access for phones with unlimited talk and text while on the Sprint Network. The data access charge for non-discounted phones is $15 per month per line for 12GB through 120GB plans.
- Third, add your tablet devices for $10 per month per line and mobile broadband devices for $20 per month per line.
- There is no early termination charge and no annual service contract with non-discounted phones.
Best Value in Wireless
Sprint Family Share Pack offers the best value for families who want shared data. In addition to the new promotion being announced today, Sprint is still offering a limited-time promotion for the Sprint Family Share Pack – for a family with up to 10 lines, switch to Sprint and get 20GB of shared data and unlimited talk and text while on the Sprint network for only $100 a month through 2015 after the waived access charges3. For a family of four, that’s a savings of $60 per month versus AT&T’s and $40 per month Verizon’s current pricing through 2015.
In addition, for a limited time, customers who bring their number and activate on the Sprint Family Share Pack, Sprint will buy out their families’ contracts with a Visa Prepaid Card worth up to $3504. This switching offer is available at Sprint stores and Sprint Telesales.
The Sprint 4G LTE network serves more than 540 cities, making it easy for customers to enjoy data on their devices.
