Available to Sprint customers in first quarter of 2015; Pre-registration for LG G Flex2 begins today at www.sprint.com/flex2
LAS VEGAS (BUSINESS WIRE), January 05, 2015 - Sprint (NYSE: S) and LG Electronics today announced the upcoming arrival of LG G Flex2, the next generation of the revolutionary LG G Flex smartphone. When it launches in the first quarter of 2015, Sprint customers will have access to an exclusive color – Volcano Red – and the super-fast speeds of the 2.5GHz LTE network supporting a new generation of online gaming, virtual reality, advanced cloud services and other applications requiring high bandwidth.
Delivering on LG’s promise of Innovation for a Better Life, LG G Flex2 improves on its predecessor with a sleeker, slimmer and more stylish design. The gradually tapered edges of G Flex2’s dynamic curves make it easier to hold and provides users a broader range of usability.
“Sprint offers the most coveted and innovative devices at competitive prices,” said David Owens, senior vice president of product, Sprint. “LG G Flex2 fits that profile with its strikingly beautiful curved design that provides increased usability. We are proud to be one of only two national carriers in the U.S. to offer LG G Flex2. When paired with our rate plans, we know it will be a big hit for individuals and families who look to Sprint for the best value in wireless.”
Complementing G Flex2’s beautiful design is a 5.5-inch Full HD P-OLED display and the most current 2.0GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. Additionally, LG G Flex2 users can enjoy a long-lasting 3,000mAh battery backed by a fast-charging feature, supplying a 50 percent charge in just under 40 minutes.* LG G Flex2 will launch with Android 5.0 Lollipop.
“LG G Flex2 represents a turning point in today’s definition of breakthrough mobile design, driven by LG’s commitment of delivering innovation for a better life,” said Morris Lee, senior vice president and head of North American sales and marketing, LG Electronics MobileComm. “This might be one our most ambitious smartphones yet, and we couldn’t have picked a better stage than CES to unveil it to the world. We look forward to bringing it to market with innovative carriers, including Sprint.”
Device pricing and availability date will be announced later. In addition to the Sprint exclusive volcano red, G Flex2 will also be available in urban silver. Pre-registration is now available at www.sprint.com/flex2.
