Sprint Flagship Store Incorporates One-of-a-Kind Technology and
Creative Design to Revolutionize the Customer Experience

OVERLAND PARK, Kan.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 5, 2008--Sprint (NYSE:S) today changed the conversation with its customers by unveiling its new, flagship retail store, SprintStudio. The contemporary-designed, interactive wireless store resides near the Sprint Center, in the heart of the Kansas City Power & Light District, and re-enforces Sprint’s commitment to help revitalize downtown Kansas City.

The 5,500 square foot store, more than twice the size of Sprint’s typical store, incorporates innovative technology, integrated design elements, and a comfortable, relaxed setting to create a whole new way for customers to experience wireless.

SprintStudio not only reflects the Sprint brand by demonstrating how customers can get the most from their phones and services; it also serves as a catalyst for Sprint’s renewed commitment to providing a more service-oriented approach with its customers across the country.

Sprint emphasizes its focus on service with an expansive Service & Repair area, where customers can sit and watch Sprint technicians repairing their phones. Engraving services are also available for those customers who want a personalized touch to their phone.

"Sprint is proud to open the doors of its flagship store and continue to honor our commitment to the development of the Kansas City Power & Light District," said Paget Alves, president, sales and distribution for Sprint.

In addition to undergoing intensive training, Sprint’s in-store staff is committed to creating a retail experience that offers hospitality and relationship-building with new and current customers. "Beginning with this store, we are transforming the way we look at retail," said Alves. "SprintStudio is designed around our unlimited wireless experience and allows our customers to take time to explore the many compelling ways that Sprint’s wireless services can be used--for running a business, running a home or just for entertainment."

The SprintStudio offers customers a unique way to experience Sprint’s products and services, including voice, data access, text, e-mail, Web-surfing, Sprint TV, Sprint Music, GPS Navigation and Direct Connect in an environment that encourages hands-on learning and interaction. Sprint customers can immediately realize the value of these services by signing up for Sprint’s industry-defining Simply Everything plan that includes all of these voice and data features nationwide for only $99.99 a month.

The store features a Digital Lounge, complete with one-of-kind, multi-touch tables that allow customers to interact with animated orbs of light that bubble up to the table’s surface, and when touched bring to life the wealth of media content and services available on the Sprint network.

An additional customer-friendly feature is the expanded Concierge service created not only to answer customer questions, but also to serve as a resource for downtown amenities, such as helping customers make restaurant reservations.

The design of the store includes video screens that wrap around the perimeter of the store and feature video, such as NASCAR racing teams, which also ties back to the speed of Sprint’s Mobile Broadband Network. Another compelling design element is the use of lighting and color to highlight key features and benefits of Sprint products and services. For example, handsets and applications geared for entertainment are swathed in flood of warm colors reds, yellows and oranges; those geared toward productivity are flooded with cool colors like blue and green light.

"SprintStudio serves as a one-of-a-kind retail experience, designed to bring a more interactive experience to the customer," said Alves. "The store elements, from the digital lounge to the service-and-repair bar, to fun and engaging videos and interactive displays, to a full offering of Sprint phones and coordinating accessories, work together to deliver an integrated message of simplicity and usability."

SprintStudio, located at 161 E. 14th Street, is currently open for business Monday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday, 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
