WHAT: Recent disasters in Florida have raised awareness to the need for emergency preparedness and response. First responders from agencies throughout Florida will witness and can participate in a demonstration of deployment of communications and other infrastructure for catastrophic events.
More than 70 state and local agencies have signed up to participate in the Sprint Emergency Response Team’s live, over-the-air tactical exercise designed to address:
- Catastrophic incident response
- Emergency preparedness and response
- Disaster Recovery
- Rapid deployment of communications systems using IP and wireless services
- Public safety access to real-time information.
