Sprint Accelerator Announces 2019 Class

Sprint and Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) today announced the nine companies participating in the sixth annual accelerator program. The 90-day immersive program launches today and runs through June. Startups in three verticals — 5G Technology, Ag Tech and Dairy Food Products — will work directly with leaders from Sprint, Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), CoBank and other industry experts and mentors to create strategic, long-term partnerships. The Sprint Accelerator program culminates on Demo Day, June 27, in which the startups showcase their ideas.

Sprint Opens New 5G Experience In Kansas City Headquarters

Sprint is celebrating the opening of its Sprint 5G Experience, a dedicated immersive center designed to showcase and explain how 5G works and to help change the way people live, work and play. The company held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its headquarters to unveil the space ahead of its 5G commercial service launch expected to begin in Kansas City and other markets in May.

Today at MWC Barcelona, the Telecom Infra Project (TIP) announced a new project group named Open RAN 5G NR led by co-chairs Sprint (NYSE: S) and Vodafone with support from several hardware, software and integration vendors including Airspan, Altiostar, Aricent (an Altran company), Arm, Intel, Parallel Wireless, TechMahindra and Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., a subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated.
