In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and as a woman who likes to be proactive about her health and well-being, I thought it would be a perfect time to highlight a few woman-friendly apps that focus on wellness. Gentlemen don’t “X “out of the screen just yet...These are apps are great to recommend to any of the women in your life like your wife, mom, sister or a friend. They’re great for guys too! Check out the apps below and let’s raise a glass of water to healthy living.

 Beyond The Shock is a free, comprehensive, online guide to understanding breast cancer. It is a resource for women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, a place for loved ones to gain a better understanding of the disease, and a tool for doctors to share information. App for iOS.
Fooducate – With Fooducate, you can scan nutrition labels as you shop and the app will analyze the product ingredients enabling you to make healthier decisions about the food you are buying. Free in Google Play and iTunes.

Endomondo Sports Tracker – This app is designed to help you meet your exercise goals. With Endomondo Sports Tracker, you can track your fitness, challenge your 
friends and even send them a pep talk in real time. Think of this app as your own
personal trainer. Endomondo is free in Google Play and iTunes.

Healthy Recipes – The Healthy Recipes application lets you browse and search thousands of recipes, plus save your favorites. You’re just one click away from more than 450,000 recipes from the world’s largest healthy recipes website, All of the recipes have been tried and tested by home cooks just like you, and the free app makes it easy to whip up your favorites wherever you go!
