I’m so proud of my #SprintFam. Our dedicated partners help Sprint customers stay connected every day, including during this uncertain time of COVID-19.
We’re taking every precaution to protect our customers’ and employees’ safety and health, which is why we have temporarily closed 75% of our stores nationwide. Wireless is an essential service, so we’ve kept our most crucial locations open, but with reduced store hours. We’re closely monitoring store traffic by using the rule of 10 and are also frequently and thoroughly cleaning our stores and devices.
The #SprintFam is doing an amazing job during this unprecedented time, and our Customer Care representatives are working around the clock to help and advise customers. Because of a sharp increase in calls, members of the retail team are now pitching in to help the Care team. As a result, customers who call Care can expect shorter wait times within the next few days.
If you’re like me, you’re eager to hear some positive news. So, here are a few of my favorite stories from this week.
In Amarillo, Texas, retail partner Seth Fry went the extra mile to help a customer who needed assistance with WhatsApp so she could talk to her husband in a senior care facility. She had never used WhatsApp before, but Seth got her up and running! Awesome.
In Ohio, a medical professional told us she needed an upgraded device. We arranged an in-store visit so she wouldn’t risk losing important phone calls or the ability to reach her children at home.
A customer from Louisville, Kentucky, wanted our help after her husband’s phone broke. Our team set them up with a new device seamlessly during this time when communications are so critical.
We’re also gratified that our customers are recognizing our efforts. Here are a couple of comments that made my day:
- “They kept the store very clean and sanitized the whole time we were there (maybe a little too over the top lol).” - Chillicothe, Ohio
- “They only allowed two people at a time, abiding by the social distancing recommendation. The tech’s wore masks and gloves, so I felt safe!” - Linden, NJ
