We’re obsessed with our communities and we work tirelessly every month to give back. For example, one of the things that Sprint is PROUD of in 2017 is the work we did with Sprint’s 1Million Project.

Sprint employees are encouraged to volunteer and to lend a hand whenever possible. We take pride in knowing how every little action positively impacts our communities. Check out the highlights below to see how Sprint employees across the country are helping out in the month of December!

The Illinois/Wisconsin team partnered up with the Salvation Army to pack holiday meal boxes for families in Chicagoland. 30 volunteers and 8 hours later, the team packed more than 3,600 boxes!

As is their tradition, the Illinois/Wisconsin team also supported United Airline’s Fantasy Flight where they turn an area of O’Hare airport to a winter wonderland to give children affected by illness, poverty and special needs the experience of a lifetime. The Sprint team held a PJ drive and donated almost 200 PJ’s for the children this year after welcoming them to the North Pole!

The Illinois/Wisconsin Boost Mobile team partnered with a local Chicago radio station to host their annual Coat Drive to help families all across Chicagoland! Together, they collected more than 100 coats!

The Northern California team conducted five radio remotes featuring visits from Santa Claus, who took pictures with families and handed out toys to 100 children at each location.

In Texas, the team partnered with Gallery Furniture on their annual Toy Drive to benefit families in need across Houston this holiday season. Shoppers were invited to drop off a new and unwrapped toy to local Sprint stores in Houston, where they could also enter to win prizes valued at $2,500. Meanwhile, in Dallas, the local team laid wreaths at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery as part of the Wreaths across America program whose goal it is to provide a wreath for every veteran grave.

In Denver and Phoenix, the Mountain Southwest team has once again joined Toys for Tots to collect new toys that will be distributed to local children in need.

Sprint’s Pacific Northwest team has once again teamed up with Spanish language television station Univision – Seattle to produce Posada Holiday events at various Sprint stores. Each event features lively music, traditional food like Tamales, an appearance by Santa Claus and toys for kids. We had 150 attendees celebrate with our Sprint teams!

On the 12th day of Christmas, Santa’s Enchanted Forest and Sprint’s Florida/Puerto Rico/U.S. Virgin Islands Region paired up to bring joy to 100 families from the Miami Children’s Initiative. The families were treated to a jolly experience at Santa’s Enchanted Forest with food, games and amazing rides. The evening was filled with surprises as the guests were greeted by old Saint Nick- basketball star, Justise Winslow.

In addition, Sprint stores in Orlando are collecting toys for families of economic disadvantage in the Central Florida area on behalf of BabyDJ. Employees will be distributing toys to the families on Dec. 22.
